Marseille scented candle by celebrated French ceramic house, Astier de Villatte. A stroll through the city of extremes. From the old harbor, through the boisterous popular neighbourhoods with their narrow, steep streets, climb all the way to the citys heights, towards the fragrant paths that overlook the Calanques. Suddenly, everything is quiet: contemplating these wondrous places intoxicates the senses with the delightful aroma of the fragrant plants cooking in the sun: rosemary, lavender, lemon, clover.

The candle fragrances were developed by Astier de Villatte designers and perfumer Franoise Caron who worked with a team at Takasago.

The candles are made of biodegradable vegetable wax (a mix of soy, beeswax, and plant extracts) and have cotton wicks.

The glass is hand blown in Tuscany, making each one completely unique.

• Care instructions: ensure the entire wax surface is molten each burn before extinguishing the flame. Trimming the wick after each burn prevents soot forming on the glass.
• The labels and packaging for the candles are printed by Monsieur Huin, the last typesetter in France.
